Volunteering

Giving back has always been at the core of who I am. Whether it's mentoring students, volunteering with local organizations, or serving on alumni boards, I believe in using my experiences and resources to lift others up and strengthen the communities that have shaped me.

Graduates of the Last Decade Board, Young Alumni Mentor

I serve on the GOLD board as part of the Young Alumni Engagement Committee, where we plan programming to bring Business Buffs in their 20s and 30s together across the country. In this role, I help organize networking events and social gatherings that bridge the gap between student life and professional careers for recent Leeds graduates. Our mission is to ensure young alumni have fun while building meaningful connections and advancing their careers, responding directly to community feedback.

Deloitte Impact Day

Rocky Mountain MS is a non-profit that aims to improve the quality of life for individuals and their families living with multiple sclerosis and related neurological diseases through care, support, education, and research. We volunteered to help maintain the Center’s garden and outside areas by weeding, pruning, and cleaning pathways.

Community Outreach Project

Kidstek x North High School x CU Boulder

I collaborated with the non-profit, KidsTek, to bridge the gap between under privileged students and higher education

I helped organize monthly meetings with 25 high school students to discuss college readiness, scholarship options, and more. For our culminating event, we hosted the students on CU Boulder’s campus for a fun tour day!

Through grant proposals and a Chipotle fundraiser, we raised ~$2,000 for the project which allowed us to provide multiple scholarships to the students.

COVID-19 Volunteering

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I created two fundraising initiatives to support my local community during an unprecedented time of need:

  • Through the Monarch DECA "Dollar Drive," I led and executed a fundraiser that raised $780 in just two weeks for the Louisville Community Food Share's COVID-19 Rapid Response Fund, providing the equivalent of 2,340 meals to families facing food insecurity.

  • Additionally, I organized the "Cooking in the Oh-Oh" fundraiser, where I brought together a team of classmates to design, create, and sell a cookbook that raised over $2,000 for local restaurants struggling during the pandemic. These initiatives taught me the power of community action and reinforced my commitment to stepping up during times of crisis to support those who need it most.
