2020 - 2023
Case Competitions
Tackling complex challenges through case competitions has always energized and inspired me. Whether it was diving into ethical dilemmas, addressing UN Sustainable Development Goals, or developing innovative business strategies, I thrive on the opportunity to collaborate with teammates and apply critical thinking to real-world problems. These competitions taught me that the most meaningful solutions come from diverse perspectives, rigorous analysis, and creative approaches to seemingly impossible challenges.
Communication Strategy Case Competition
1st place
During the Fall of 2020, I competed in, and won a case competition against 122 other teams. Our goal was to provide proposals to the restaurant “Illegal Pete’s” to aid them in sustaining and developing their business through the COVID-19 Pandemic.
First Year Global Experience Tokyo Consulting Project
During the Spring of 2021, I had the amazing opportunity to work with a team of Leeds Scholars and 3 students from the Showa Women's University in Tokyo, Japan to work on an entrepreneurship and innovation consulting project. We focused our efforts on identifying differences between Japan and the United States in regards to entrepreneurship throughout the pandemic and each interviewed an entrepreneur in our countries to support our research. It was a fantastic opportunity to work on an international team, navigate through cultural differences and language barriers, and present to a group of 70+ people!
Business Ethics Case Competiton
During the Spring of 2022, I competed in the CESR Business Ethics Case Competition. After delivering our proposals in regards to the ethical implication of a multi-national company implementing a vaccine mandate, we were awarded 3rd place.
Other Case Competitions
During the Spring of 2021, I competed in the CESR Business Ethics Case Competition with a team composed of all first-year students. We won 4th place and learned how to solve complex problems using ethical frameworks. The 2021 BECC was held virtually for the first time and featured a case about a company’s response to the racial justice movement, pulling in themes of authenticity and accountability.
In the Summer of 2019, I competed in, and won 1st place in the Leeds School of Business “Women in Business Case Competition”. Topic of focus was menstrual equity.
